Dark Visions

The night came and enveloped my world.
It was like falling into a deep dark abyss.
It welcomed me with open arms.
No questions or explanations needed.

I found peace in every moment,
Could hear my heart beating in the silence.
Unflinching, I could think about what was on my mind.
I did not need to fear the harsh questioning glare of the sun.

Then the soft moonlight caressed me,
It was like the gentle reassuring touch of a long lost friend.
It showed me the world in a totally different way.
Everything was aglow like a pearl.

The night is my ally and support now.
I can't understand why people fear the dark.
It's only when you don't have a light to guide you,
That the way you find is truly yours.

Do I dare peep behind, all the masks I wear. Do I dare look in the mirror, when my eyes might look back at me, bare ? Will I abhor what I see, or fall in love with the real me... Would I want my mask collection back ? Or will I bury them under the peepal tree ? I know not and hence I ask, these questions that may surprise many. But if I know will I cease to ask  For thoughts and questions come a hundred a penny. The masks serve their purpose well, and hide me from the world and myself. But what life is this, if I can't see what I was intended to be. So I have flung them away they lie shattered, broken like the lies I wore. But the sad part is, even when it's off, people think the face I have on, is a mask.

I am that song that never was sung, The road that ends in nowhere. The breeze that cannot be captured in a jar, The wave who doesn't know what boundaries are. The first bloom of spring hidden in the forest. The first drop of rain to touch your face. The ray of sunshine that breaks through dark clouds, I am the green in every leaf in the woods. I live by no rules, I set no expectations. I laugh unchecked, I cry unashamedly. I dance with the wind to the rhythm of the universe, Where life ends my journey begins. And its a never ending journey, It'll go on forever and more. I am in every bit of existence, I am every soul.

Unfathomable elements...

The sea beckons me with open arms, the green feels just the right shade The starry sky is like the perfect blanket, Tonite, i'll sleep like I never intend to wake. But then again the morning would bring Different hues and colors to the water, The sand will shimmer like the finest silver, and the horizon will be like a shimmering golden cover. I gather all these sights and sounds, Have locked them in my memory, Coz when I return to the concrete jungle i know as life, These will be things that'll bring a smile to me. The sea, the sun, the stars the sand, A perfect world, a different land I know that I'll come back to these... They'll always be here, waiting for me..
